Florsheim takes chair as GoMedia goes for growth

GoMedia, Europe’s leading onboard infotainment provider for rail and coach operators, is gearing up to accelerate its growth with the appointment of senior media and telecoms industry executive Jon Florsheim as non-executive chairman.

Florsheim brings decades of successful leadership experience in media and telecoms, having served as managing director (customer group) and chief marketing officer for Sky TV, CEO for European Pay TV operator M7 and chief commercial officer for Irish telecoms provider eir.

The incoming chairman joins as GoMedia celebrates a record year of customer growth. The company, founded in 2015, builds award-winning onboard entertainment, information and advertising content systems that enhance passenger journeys and support operators’ commercial goals. In 2017, TransPennine Express, Greater Anglia, c2c and West Midlands Rail became the latest additions to GoMedia’s customer base, joining established customers including Eurostar, Virgin Trains and National Express coaches.
