14 January 2020, London: GoMedia is today announcing that it has achieved ISO 27001 certification for information security management systems (ISMS), demonstrating the company’s commitment to data security and privacy.
As the market leader in entertainment and passenger information for public transport, delivering robust and secure innovation is crucial. To obtain ISO 27001 certification – the international information security standard – and show its security credentials, GoMedia was assessed by an independent auditor against best-practice framework and guidelines set by the International Organisation for Standardisation for ISMS.
Roger Matthews, managing director at GoMedia says: “It is no surprise that transport operators around the globe require a best-in-class service protecting them and their passengers from online threats. Cyber security is an issue that transcends industries and transport is no exception with its drive to digitisation. The growth in online attacks against businesses, institutions and infrastructure means it is paramount that personal and company data is protected.”
During the assessment process, GoMedia successfully demonstrated a systematic and documented approach to protecting and managing sensitive company and customer information.
Matthews continues: “We are incredibly proud of our team who rigorously built a system and processes that meet the tough requirements needed to achieve ISO 27001 certification.”
GoMedia’s entertainment services are available across Europe and North America on iconic operators such as Greyhound Buses, Eurostar, SBB and National Express, all of which now benefit from GoMedia’s certified protection.
